Bohai Drilling Services Indonesia (BDSI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Drilling Area Manager to lead and oversee rig operations in the Duri area. This key leadership role requires hands-on expertise in drilling operations, team management, and problem-solving within high-performance environments.
Drilling Area Manager
Location: Duri, Indonesia
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (5/2)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction across multiple drilling rigs in the assigned area
- Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations in alignment with company and client standards
- Supervise rig leadership teams and support their operational performance
- Coordinate with clients, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve technical and operational challenges
- Monitor daily performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and excellence across all crews
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a rig leadership position (e.g., Rig Superintendent, Rig Manager, or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Valid IADC or IWCF well control certification
- Valid APB (Ahli Pengendali Bor) certificate
- Maximum 54 years old
- Thorough understanding of safe work practices and safety management systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solid knowledge of drilling operations, people management, and problem resolution in the field
