Genting Oil Kasuri Pte. Ltd (GOKPL) is a company in the energy sector which is a subsidiary of the Genting Group, a leading multinational company in Malaysia. Genting Group is carrying out major expansion in the energy sector, especially oil and gas through the Genting Oil & Gas company which operates in China and Indonesia. GOKPL is located in Teluk Bintuni and Fakfak districts, West Papua.
Indonesian Government awarded GOKPL to operate Kasuri Working Area on May 27 2008. From 2008 to 2015, GOKPL had been drilling at 10 exploration wells and processing 2D and 3D seismic acquisitions. On February 8, 2023, revision of POD 1 was approved to develop Asap, Kido, and Merah Fields. AKM Field development will be carried out in 4 stages. Gas will be produced in Q4 2025 for Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) and Q1 2028 for Ammonia and Urea (Amurea) Plant.

Process Safety Engineer
Job Summary:
- Involved in EPC & EPF phase 1 execution, involved in FEED activity (value engineering, ), involved in preparing CAPEX & ITB phase 2, involved in phase 2 process tender, home office activity (involved in Amdal/RKL-RPL monitoring, PERTEK execution, etc), etc.
- Ensure the Process Safety requirement implemented into design, procurement, construction, precommissioing, commissioing & Start up activities.
Responsibility:
- Responsible for handling & guiding EPC & EPF phase 1 execution from Process Safety point of view
- Responsible for preparing ITB phase 2 from Process Safety scope of work
- Responsible for involving in phase 2 process tender from Process Safety scope of work
- Review and approval of all Process Safety deliverables
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and international codes and standards
Qualification:
- Minimum 10 years as Process Safety Engineer in Oil & Gas Industry
- Familiar with Process Safety software such as PHAST, FLARESIM, PIPENET, SoundPLAN/CadnaA, MAROS, PHA Pro, etc.
- Familiar with Code / Standard / International Regulation & best practice such as NFPA, API, ISO, ANSI, IEC, ISA, etc.
- Familiar with Government Regulation/Local Regulation such as SNI, PERMEN, PP, etc.
- Have experience in Process Safety Workshop such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL CLASSIFICATION/TARGET, SIMOPS, PSSR, 3D Model, Operation Readiness Review, Layout Review, Constructability Review, etc.
- Familiar with Process Safety studies such as FEA, QRA, EERA, Noise Study, Fire & Gas Detector mapping, Flare radiation & dispersion, Vent & Exhaust gas dispersion, SCE & PS, Dropped Object Study, etc.
- Familiar with Technical Safety deliverables such as Process Safety Philosophy, Passive & Active Fire Protection Philosophy, Environment Philosophy, Human Factor Engineering, Safety & Fire Protection Specification, Safety & Fire Protection Calculation, Safety & Fire Protection Datasheet, Safety & Fire Protection List, Safety & Fire Protection Layout, Hazardous Area Schedule & Layout, Fire & Gas Detector, etc.
- Familiar with fire protection installation & pre-commissioning.
- Ability to manage and oversee Contractors and Subcontractors in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary internal team, Contractors, Subcontractor, Vendors, etc
- Ability to work in challenging and remote environments
- Willingness to travel to and from the project site as needed.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) best practices.
- Experience with construction activity in oil and gas projects
