Senior Drilling Engineer

Location: Indonesia (Primary)
Hire Type: National Hire Only
Job Classification: Fixed Term Contract.

Ensure the implementation of sound Drilling Well Engineering practices are in accordance with Mubadala Petroleum Drilling Well Engineering Standard (DWES), Regularity Procedure and Guidelines and good oilfield industry practices.

Responsibilities include but not limited:
  • Ensure the drilling program is being developed to meet the well objectives while at the same time in line with the Company policies, DWES, SKMMIGAS and good industry practices.
  • Ensure Well Basis of Design and Drilling Programs are developed based on the scope of works provided by Exploration and Reservoir Engineering Groups.
  • Assist in study of well objectives, subsurface data and the target locations for drilling received from Geophysicists, in order to determine suitable placement of rigs, geophysical survey, and geotechnical survey and establish the borehole placement.
  • Organize and supervise engineers to ensure that all works are based on established individual objectives.  Manage performance, develop and motivate them through formal and informal feedbacks in order to maximize individual performance.
  • Input Drilling expertise to the development of Mubadala’s integrated multi-year Business Plan and Annual Work Programme & Budget.  The Plan describes the necessary activities, resources, targets, milestones, costs and deliverables.
  • Participate in tendering for drilling associated materials, supplies, equipment and services.  These include the preparation of drilling specifications & requirements, evaluations and until award of the contracts.
  • Review process and procedures in effort to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of well design and operations by taking into account ‘international best practice’
  • Ensure implementation of the drilling program is achieving Drilling objectives within the Scope of Works and the Approval for Expenditure (AFE).
  • Manage drilling contracts in accordance with the agreed contract agreements and obligations.  Familiarity to the contract T&C and exhibits are compulsory  
  • Supervise all process are carried out in line with company policies, procedures and regulations and international standard.
  • Support in providing audits and assurance against corporate standards and business objectives across all the Company operations.
  • Participate in peer reviews for drilling and well programs.
  • Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate departmental MIS statements and reports of engineering unit to meet the Company and department requirements, policies and standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Petroleum, Mining or equivalent with a good understanding of Drilling technology and upstream processes.
  • Minimum 15 years of Drilling experience across multiple locations.
  • Minimum 10 year’s SE Asian exploration experience is essential, and development experience a plus.

Responsible for providing tax planning advice to the business as well as managing tax disputes and their resolution.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage GOI Tax Audits including any associated objections and appeals.
  • Manage other tax related audits from external parties including EY, Partners, SKKMIGAS, BPKP, BPK. 
  • Assist with ad hoc tax related projects.
  • Prepare and review complex tax planning associated with COP’s operations in Indonesia including the review of tax related regulatory changes (e.g. transfer pricing, etc.).
  • Manage updates of the Companies tax status, monitor company set up / dissolution, tax ID cancelation.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies in order to provide regular updates to key stakeholders within the company.
  • Reviewing agreements and advise on tax implications.
  • Support Tax Manager to manage tax related matters with external parties (for example providing proactive advocacy through the IPA and in dealings with i.e. IPA, the DGT and MoF).
  • Support COP Corporate tax in the resolution of multi-jurisdictional tax issues.

Minimum Qualification:
  • Strong financial and analytical background.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Taxation.
  • Working Experience: Minimum 8 years working experience in the Tax function.
  • Good working knowledge of tax law and regulations.
  • Minimum expected tax qualifications: Brevet A and B.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Expectations (Supervisory position):
Effectively manage contract personnel.  Role model to the tax organization, promotes SPIRIT values. Leads by example, creates an open and collaborative work environment.

Preferences:
  • Capable of thinking and working independently with minimal supervision

Job Description: Field Operator (Offshore)

Commitment and compliance to the Mubadala Petroleum HSSE Policy Statement, Operations Management Framework and Mubadala Core Values. Work with maintenance disciplines to isolate instruments / systems as directed for maintenance activities. Operates the plant and process equipment safely, efficiently, & effectively in compliance to Production Procedures and Written Instructions and provide routine monitoring of the plant and process equipment, including taking production readings and reporting any discrepancies to achieve the expected / targeted production rate.

Responsibilities include but not limited:
  • Active participation in all HSE program by achieving individual HSE target and demonstrate HSSE commitment from an initial plan until the completions.
  • Achieve the agreed operation PM target and first line maintenance target.
  • Maintain good communication with peers and supervisors.
  • Propose ideas to improve operations safety and reliability.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years Diploma Degree. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ operating in an oil and gas environment with at least 2 years in an offshore environment. 
  • Understanding of natural gas processing including gas compression system, Sub Surface and Down Hole equipment, Surface facilities support equipment.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of instrumentation, electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Computer – proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Strong safety and environmental awareness.
  • Ability to read P & ID’s; familiar with and ability to perform Job Safety Analysis.
  • Experience in X-mas tree operations. 
  • Experience in Gas Compressor
  • Experience in utility systems (fuel gas, fresh water, utility/instrument air, sewage, etc.)
