1. Competency Assurance System (CAS) Assessor

Location : Bojonegoro, Indonesia
Job Segment: Database, Offshore Oil, Technology, Energy
Expire Date: April 30, 2018

Assess the competency of the workforce on procedures and process for the Banyu Urip field including in offshore facilities.  Maintain training and CAS assessments progress and records (including credit users in STS database) as well as review/revise Operations and Maintenance CAS packages as necessary.  Provide mentoring and coaching to our technical workforce.

Job Description:
  • Schedules and executes all CAS assessments, STS credit users and prepares summary report
  • Provides structured training, utilizing Operating Manuals Procedure Manuals, and all other provided training aids, to develop national operations and/or maintenance personnel’s required skill levels.
  • Coordinates the training documentation, mainly procedures. Keeps track of all distributed copies of the assessments (training) documents and ensures documents are approved for content before distribution.
  • Facilities the enforcement of safety rules and regulations in all training activities. Actively participates in regular staff and safety meetings.
  • Provide coaching & mentoring to technical staff workforce to support sustainment of steady state operations.
  • Provides advisory in developing/revising CAS package
  • Arranges and organizes all resources required for scheduled assessments.
  • Analyses assessment date, prepares reports and present to supervisors.
  • Develops and maintains the CAS assessment database
  • Provide effective communication within our operations team and other organization supports to enhance the setting of priorities and the identification of support resource requirements.
  • Submits daily/weekly activity reports that meet EMCL’s reporting and information sharing requirements.
  • Assist with implementation of Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) on Competency Assurance and Training (System 5-1) and Operations and Maintenance Procedure (System 6-1).
  • Ensure training results for individuals are being entered into STS database.
  • Review Learning Management System (LMS) reports for individual personnel and make plans to address competency discrepancies.


Expected Level of Proficiency/Requirements:
  • Having experience in oil and gas operations for 10 years
  • Adequate computer skills; adequate Excel skills and proficiency in word
  • Proven skills in coaching and mentoring
  • Having experience in oil and gas operations with high integrity and safety awareness
  • Having experience in maintaining employees’ database
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive and private information
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality on assessment results
  • High integrity and self-motivated
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge in training organizing activities and processes
  • Good command in spoken and written English and Indonesia
  • Able to deal constructively during conflicts situation, e.g., ability to support assessment decision

  • Will need to successfully complete CAS Assessor Training course.

2. Machinery Engineer

Location:  Bojonegoro, Indonesia
Job Segment: Engineer, Engineering

Development and implementation of programs to continuously maintain rotating equipment in the Banyu Urip. Support operations and maintenance team on engineering solutions.

Job Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead/contribute actively in machinery and reliability engineering activities.
  • Stewardship of machinery reliability and PM program to maintain equipment availability and maximize MTBR in the support of production in the Banyu Urip facility; Develop Machinery integrity programs and implementation plans, Assess continuous improvement opportunities on the Machinery integrity programs, Work with the maintenance team to ensure sufficiently detailed documentations are maintained, Identify gaps with the machinery reliability and work with team to execute plans for improvement, Conduct measurement and verification activities and & steward program KPI’s, Develop monthly program reports and submit to the Coordinator/Administrator, Perform internal assessments of program status and effectiveness, Steward Management of Change documentations and process deviations as required.
  • Lead/participate in incident investigation related to machinery and other equipment.
  • Conduct failure analysis and provide comprehensive report to avoid failure in the future.
  • Implement activities related to Risk Assessment mitigation/prevention task.
  • Part of Asset Leadership Team member to continuously implement improvements: cost reduction, equipment reliability, facility optimization, capacity enhancement, downtime reduction, MTBR improvement
  • Review and update Machinery equipment strategy.
  • Perform analysis on Condition Monitoring of major rotating equipment (pumps, gas turbines, compressor) based on lube oil analysis, performance monitoring, and vibration and propose recommendations for operational improvement.
  • Perform other activities in-line with business goals of MICEM and Operations Technical group.

Expected Level of Proficiency/Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Machinery Engineering with at least 5 years of experience, GPA minium 3.3.
  • Familiar with various rotating equipment type and their basic characteristic.
  • High Integrity and Safety (OIMS) Awareness and competence in FIMS
  • Strong technical knowledge in machinery, crane and lifting, and familiar with oil and gas processing.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written and good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding in Company equipment integrity program/guideline: FIMS and M&R.
  • Good knowledge on company’s standard/GP and industrial standard such as API, ANSI, ASTM, and ISO.

3. Electrical Engineer

Location: Bojonegoro, Indonesia
Job Segment: Electrical, Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Engineering
Expire Date: April 30, 2018

Development and implementation of programs to continuously maintain electrical system in the Banyu Urip facility including power generation, transmission and distribution for short and long term equipment reliability and availability. Support operations and maintenance team on engineering solutions.

Job Role Responsibilities:
  • Primary site contact and subject matter expert on electrical engineering
  • Stewardship of electrical reliability and PM program to maintain electrical system availability in the support of production in the Banyu Urip facility; Develop Electrical integrity programs and implementation plans, Assess continuous improvement opportunities on the electrical integrity programs, Work with the maintenance team to ensure sufficiently detailed documentations are maintained, Identify gaps with the electrical system reliability and work with team to execute plans for improvements, Conduct measurement and verification activities and & steward program KPI’s, Develop monthly program reports and submit to the Coordinator/Administrator, Perform internal assessments of program status and effectiveness, Steward Management of Change documentations and process deviations as required.
  • Site champion for electrical safe work practices
  • Lead/participate in incident investigation related to electrical system and its auxiliary equipment.
  • Implement activities related to Risk Assessment mitigation /prevention task.
  • Part of Asset Leadership Team member to continuously implement improvements: cost reduction, equipment reliability, facility optimization, capacity enhancement, downtime reduction
  • Review and update electrical equipment strategy for substations, motor control centers, UPS, etc.
  • Perform analysis on condition monitoring, testing and thermography inspection of critical electrical system (substations, generators, distribution system, etc).
  • Perform other activities in-line with business goals of MICEM and Operations Technical group.

Expected Level of Proficiency/Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineer.
  • Fresh graduate with minimum GPA 3.5
  • Familiar with various electrical equipment and their basic characteristic.
  • High integrity and safety (OIMS) Awareness and competence in FIMS, esp. Program 09-Electrical.
  • Strong technical knowledge electrical system and familiar with oil and gas processing.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written and good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding in Company equipment integrity program/guideline: FIMS and M&R.
  • Good knowledge on Company’s standard GP and industrial standard such as API, ANSI, IEE, NEMA, NFPA, and ISO.
